Catalyst Paper (Snowflake, AZ): The newspaper is recycled and made into new newsprint. It's then sold to newspaper publishers, mostly in the US, but they do send some to Mexico.
Sutta (Wilmington, CA): The newspaper is pulped and made into new newsprint or paperboard boxes. It's sold to buyers in the US or abroad. Sutta notes that the US' largest export to China is scrap paper - mostly cardboard and newspapers.
